This would include showing up 2 times a month or each week depending on how serious you are. I would like to do this minimum every two weeks.  I only need a few really dedicated furs for this. If you can only make it occasiounaly you won't be part of the main cast.*we might be able to make a guest spot instead*

To give you an idea of what we used to do, here is a bit of a look back.

A little history:

A number of years ago, back in early 2001/2002 a group of boston furs produced FurryTv.

This was run by myself and hosted by Gamerkitty. We ran for a few seasons almost every week producing over 200 hours of crazy furry content.

Some of that content is still up on:

Some more on the youtube channel:

We had a rather good system going with virtual sets and green screen for putting the puppets into 3d virtual environments. Here is a picture of a few of our cast:

This let us take you on crazy journeys each week. One week I remember having very little time to prep that weeks show. Only an hour I think it was.  We had just seen the TMNT movie and we had the bright idea of hosting that nights show in a sewer set. So I pulled open Lightwave 3d and made a set just for that one show. Gamerkitty showed up in bandages having been roughed up by ninjas.  We had a ton of fun.

Our shows were primarily an off the top of your head type of show. There was some structure but mostly free-form. We did things like audience art challenges which we announced a topic at the beginning of each show and then showed people's art on air at the end. We also did caption contests for the weeks WTF photo. Imagine finding the most fracked up thing you could find online and having insane furs caption it.

We had an irc channel going for audience participation.

Some of the early shows were pretty rough but as we went along each season we got better at both the tech side and the performance side. One of our regulars on the show "panda" scored some of the highest ratings of all our performers. *A fan favorite*!

We did this for 2 years. This was done mostly live. This brings me to the present.

FurryTV - Casting for new show

After much thought I am ramping up Furrytv.com again. After so many years of being off the air I think it is time to find a new crew of talented furs from the local Boston area who would like to show off their skills to entertain the rest of the community.

Everything changes:

The older format let us do a lot with participation of the IRC chat and push the envelope of what was possible in a live setting. Believe it or not, Live is both easier and harder then shooting a film.

The good points of being live:

Spontaneity - this means that each week you will see what comes off the top of our demented heads. There would not be a script and you only have one chance to get things right as a performer. But the folks watching will more the likely cut you a break if you mess up.

The good points of not being a live show:

Better special fx and better sets.

You can do things in many takes and use the best take to edit the production.

What I propose is a combination of both of those things.

This would be a live show with the use of pre-recorded skits added in.  This lets us have a live hosted show with the fun interaction and feedback of fans, but with a chance to show off what we can do with the short skits or shows.

Think of it like living on the inside of the TV you have the fake tv station along with the actual show being performed. This might be a bit like the muppet show if anyone remembers that. You got to see the behind the stage antics while having polished acts being portrayed on stage.  This lets the puppeteers both have fun and also do some good acting. It also means each week you will get a variety of smaller TV shows within the 2hr "FurryTV" episode.  It will be a bit like saturday night live combined with a scripted drama, comedy, etc.

Again I would like to make this the best it could be and to bring it back with the full dedication of the crew and those that feel passionate about doing good work.

We need furs that won't wimp out and cancel at the last minute and leave us without a character, or not show up one weekend without planing ahead for it.

This is both a ton of fun but also contains a bit of work. If hard work scares you then please don't apply. This cannot work without everyone really wanting it to and putting in the time it requires to make this happen.

Shows like Pawpet.tv and such did not get to where they are without a dedicated crew of furs that loved being performers and who felt a duty to the old adage.

The show much go on!

Please serious inquires only:

..in the words of Gosalyn from Dark wing duck... Lets .. get dangerous!
